The Rev. Mary Taflinger has served Trinity since April 1996. Her greatest joy in parish ministry is walking with others as they make connections between their own life stories and God’s story. Whether in quiet conversation, during Bible study, or in preaching, she enjoys helping people see the world with the eyes of faith.
Like many, she came to the Episcopal Church as a young adult. She was ordained to the priesthood in the Diocese of Southern Ohio in May 1988, serving as priest associate at St. Alban’s, Bexley, Ohio. She came to the Diocese of Indianapolis in 1991 and served as rector at St. John’s, Crawfordsville before coming to Trinity. She is a graduate of Harvard Divinity School and received her undergraduate degree from Miami University.
She and her family live in Cincinnati where her husband, Chris Meshot, is a psychologist at the VA. Their son, Sam is a sophomore in high school.
Donna has served as organist at Trinity since 1995 and also plays at St. Lawrence and Beecher Presbyterian. She teaches in the General Studies program at Ivy Tech.
